I think a 20 gallon is good, but I think for a betta, a 20 gallon long would be better than a 20 gallon high. They like to spend more time at the surface and in a 20G long, the plants will reach closer to the surface if you have them.

I had a betta in a 20G high and he was happy, but when he got sick, it seemed like it was tough for him to make it up and down to the surface, so I moved him to a 10G for him to recover.

PK: But regular soda has way too much sugar...fattening and not good for diabetes people
Diet soda has been linked to obesity as well.

Neither is good for you, (diet or regular) but if you had to choose, regular is better for you.
