Tank too small for a goldy?

I'm not sure if I will, but I had a strange thought earlier. I though about having a goldfish in the spare 15g. And some hillstream loaches. Obviously it wouldn't be very practical-
1) I'd need a hell load more filtration
2) They live ages (ie, I'd have to keep the goldfish in the tank for 15+ ears or so)
3) I have a feeling the tanks too small. The dimensions are 18x15x12. So doesn't seem to massive for a 6 inch plus goldfish.

ATM I'm just getting a bit of info. I'll probably go with shellies, but its nice to have a few options open.

Shellies are quite rewarding, the social happenings are much more interesting than just a big fish like a Gold Fish
 
i :wub: my goldies.Ypu could get away with a fancy with a heck of a load of filtration but itd be better to go with something else
 
I too would say the fancy is your best option but if you like shellies then i would go for those :)
