Tank Size?

hello all, i've been researching up on dwarf and honey gouramis, because id like to get another tank (no bigger than my current 30 us gal.)
any the question is that i would like to get a trio of honey or dwarf gouramis (i havent decided yet i really like them both) i would like to know what is the minimum tank size in us gallons would i need for a trio of either species?

im assuming by trio you mean 1 male 2 females?

a 20 gallon would be fine, you might even be able to get away with 10. 3 males would be different though.

Yupp. That was my plan to get two females and A male, so anybody have tips on sexing both or either species?whenever I see the at my lfs they all look similar in color but their fins look different. I know that females fins a are supposed to be more rounded but I also thought they're much more dull in dwarves and on honeys I havnt heard much about a exong other than their finage.

Male Golden Honey Gouramies tend to be more colourful and have bright orange on their dorsal fins. Females are a little duller and usually have a dark horizontal band running through their body.

At about what size can you sex homey goiramis? (I'm kind of thinking that , ok gonna get a trio.1:2 male to female if possible)
also another question but it's kind of nooby, well so how fast can a tank be cycled? R there ways I can speed up the process like of I use some of the water on there from my much more aged tank? I will also be using thecfilter that is now in my 30 gal and probably put in there and get a new one for my thirty and possibly a new heater, mkining everything in the tank (filter, heater, tank) all previously used. I think I know that a lot of ppl on here opposed to it butci will most likely have 7 fural/ wild guppies in the tank whole cycling as ibheard it can help make of faster. And start the plantinong about a week in(the same time in which I will put in the guppies)
