Tank Planned...well Super Close

So I have it planned out. I have a 36 gallon freshwater tank. These fish are going to be for sures:

6 Long finned Zebra Danios (already have them!)
6 Peppered Corys
8 of some small shoaling fish like tetras or raspbora

I'd like the last to either be one red tailed shark or a Male / Female pair of dwarf Gouramis. Any pros / cons to help me make that last decision?

If your getting dwarf gourami make sure to quarentine them for at least 3 weeks before putting them in the main tank as they are very prone to disease.
