I wonder if you could give me some ideas on what scaping requirements might be good for apistogramma hongsloi.

any chance of getting your hands on a bit of volcanic rock? LFS usually have them in their cichlid tanks, I got a piece, with holes in, that my apistos swim through, for £6 at my LFS. Also, roof/garden slating is good, break it up into pieces and stack it up into cave like features, maybe tie some anubuis to it?

Mine are quite bold and don't take much interest in all the caves and such I've given them. I imagine they'll only use them for breeding purposes.

They definitely appreciate plenty of plant matter though. For general browsing/investigating purposes.
