Just a quick question, when cleaning your tanks do you remove the ornaments?

Just asking because I knocked my bog wood earlier and the amount of crap that came out from under it was staggering! And later I noticed a single planaria on the glass. Do people remove half the objects one week and the the other half the next or is it a case of all out, remove water, hoover and return?

Will any of my fish eat the planaria? (fish in sig below!)

I move my ornaments when I do a gravel clean for just that reason. Loads of stuff gets trapped under there, and leaving it there will allow it to rot and produce ammonia. Your fish may or may not eat the planaria, but they are no danger to your fish so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just keep the tank clean and perform regular deep gravel cleaning and most likely they will go away on their own.

I also remove all plants and ornaments from the area being vacuumed...
