Tail type question...

I know how to tell the males, but females I have a little trouble with.

I have a female that I bought from walmart and her tail rays are all branched 1 x. Like this:View attachment 29236

Her other fins are single rayed and dont branch at all. Her dorsal fin is VERY skinny about this wide --------> |..|, but it is pretty tall, so I dont know. Cannot get a good pic of her so far, lemme try again...

So what I want to know is is she a vt or a plakat?

She's probably a VT. It's very hard to tell the differance between VT and PK females, but I've noticed with my females the anal fin on the PKs is shorter and rounder- not as long and pointy as the female VT's.

That's what I think as well, simply due to the fact she;s a walmart betta

if its all spiky then there is a possiblity tat it is a crowntail but its probably a combtail

Her tail is smoothe like a VT, so she's not a ct... My drawing is of her tail rays. I'll add some color to it
