So today i got this tank, its 180L

It's in a really bad way...abit of water damage to the stand and lid, nothing major though. I'm intent on changing the colour of the wood but it will be stick on stuff.

The inside of the tank is a RIGHT state! the wiring is really bad aswell lol, take a wee look

Bad huh? look at this box,

Think i'm going to have to rewire that huh!

So bassically thought i would post this here as i barly start any threads nowa days!

thats a nice sized tank, i wouldnt mind a cube..... shocking electrics, literally

Yes, loads of plans i'm going to go with drift/mapani wood and "branch" features coming out of a sand base, the idea is to tint the colour of the water aswell, possible add bubbles...not sure yet! i've never had a thing for them but this came with oneso you know....

Also im stuck on adding a back to it, im not sure if i want one, its cream walls behind so is a fair enough background. Got to also build a cave like feature in the middlle... or at the far back of the tank.

Those little algard boxes are pretty good, I have a couple, the only downfall is the 2 switches and 4 connections inside , the switches only work 2 connections If you wire your lights to the heater connection (going from memory here) you can use the switch on the starter unit to turn the lights on and off and use the 2 switches then on the algard box for your heater and filter.

Yes, it's the first time i've came across one to be honest. Anyway i've been trying to get the wiring sorted out and came across a busted light pretty gutted but it has made me think about replacing the old lighting system, anyone happen to have one? or know of any kind i can get my hands on for cheap?
