T-5 Fixtures

So, I've had it up to here with my Current 2x54 watt T5 HO light. It's been through 3 ballasts. Current makes junk, don't buy them!

But now I need a replacement. Anyone out there have any suggestions? Aquatic Life looks good and I've had a Coralife CF on my 29 gallon before (I need the new T5 for my 75 gallon) but I was hoping to go less expensive if I can get a quality piece cheaper. I will splurge on a more expensive one, I'll just tell my wife I decided to treat myself since I've lost a little over 40 pounds and I deserve it.

What's the length of the tank? I love my Coralife T5s. Very hardy. Some of my fixtures are over 5 years old and still going strong.

48" tank. Standard 75 US gallon, all-glass tank.

Fosters and Smith is having a sale on the 48" 2x54 Coralife right now.


Although with my pressurized CO2 system I am a little temped to go for a 4x54 fixture. Yanno, nothing like a little excess.

Save yourself the money, stick with the 2x54. I love Fosters and Smith. Got most of my Marine stuff from there recently and have been a costumer for years, and I get excited when a catelogue comes in the mail.
