Sword Plant Q

Ok I put this a different spot. But found this area and thought I would ask in here. I am pretty sure this is a sword plant. Now there is a growth that sprouted and has what looks like a root system. Is this how they sprout new ones ? Can I cut this and replant it?

I'm not sure what species of sword plant that is but just from the experience of propagating other swords if you do want to cut and replant then you should be fine to do so just make sure to only cut the main runner coming from the old plant to the new plant don't cut any of the new plants roots
