Hi there.

So sad to hear this.
The exact same thing happened to me right before christmas.

My heater just went nuts in the middle of the night.
When I went to check on my fish in the morning, the water held 45°C and 20 of my 27 fish had literally been cooked.

It was very upsetting. Almost gave up than and there.

Still got my 3 female bettas and 2 plecos and one single guppy. No idea how he survived. He is so tiny. Named him Phoenix after that.

I just bought myself a temperature controller which will stop the fish soup making when a heater fails.....and why do they only fail in the on position

Thats great. I should get one as well but they are so pricy.
god! I know right, wouldent be so bad if they just turned off, fish can manage i few degrees lower...why the need to make fish soup xD
