Strange & Unusual (cruel) Tanks?

iMac tank.

beer bottle tank.

tv(?) tank.

dance floor tank. (actually under the dance floor)

tank (and tv) in the hood of a car.

tank under the dance floor.

what do u think of tanks like these?

The beer bottle tank is the worst, (extremely cruel) The car ones are gimmicks and the iMac and the T.V. I've seen utilised before. (At least they offer the fish some surface area for oxygen exchange.

Yeah, there is a car one in the entrance to the London Aquarium.

I've seen some of those before, some of them are actually all right in terms of the size/surface area etc.

How in the hell would you carry out a gravel vac of some of them though!?

The dance floor tank is pretty much the same sort of thing you would see at seaworld.
And i agree the beer bottle tank is by far the worst, the rest are forgivable.

The bottle is the worst, do people dance on that dance floor if so it must stress the fish.

I've seen those dance floors before and generally the floor is reinforced so much the fish dont really notice.
If the floor wasnt and there was any chance it could break or stress the fish, they'd have personal injury lawsuits and the animal rights activists on their back.

Good, that bottle how will he clean it and how will he get the fish out when it grows, that's totally cruel, as you would have to break the bottle, that's just evil.

Dance floor tanks are cruel - Think of how confused they'll be with the bass and footsteps vibrating the water... Fish feel their way around using their lateral line and that'll compeltely screw their senses up!

The first car ones (yellow car) are obiously part of some aquarium exhibition so I'd say thats fine. As long as there is filtertion and everything potentially harmful is sealed off.

The 2nd car one (rad car) is horrible. Bonnets get hot and when cars stop they cool down. The extreme fluctuations in tempreture are NOT good for them.

The beer bottle "aquarium" is absolutley disgusting! I'm not only worried about how it currently is but how they put it in there in the first place. What if it grows? That poor fish is in but it will NEVER come out.

The PC & TV ones are fabulous ideas! They're obviously old objects gutted out so no harmful bits. Neither are over stocked. I'd love to replace my TV with a Aquarium TV... Better entertainment.

The TV and iMac are the best ones there. The bottle is just plain cruel, and the dance floor and road going car are just gimmicks that stress the fish!

I don't think all are cruel, the beer bottle definately is though, and i am not keen about the dancefloor. However the Imac and TV tanks don't seem that bad, and the car is at the entrance of the london aqaurium and they seem happy and healthy.

Yeah the people at London aquarium know what they're doing. They've got plenty of marine biologists and other such pros there so I'm sure they would do nothing that involved harming their fish... after all thats how they make their money. I'm curious about water changes though... I wonder if they have an outlet hidding that sucks some out and then they fill it up with a hiding inlet.

I would be willing to bet that if you peer under the tank there are pipes in and out of the tank/car so that it is plumbed into part of the central filtration system they have there.

the car doesn't provide a natural habbitat though. its like, a human living under the ocean, it's just not right. i try to provide a natural envirorment for all my fish, it's just better that way.

In my opinion not all of the pix are fish tanks like the Hummer... Those were just bubbles. Because they would be breaking the law for that one since its over the engine and can cause lots of heat. Which breaks the law of Animal Cruelty.

And for the rest...The car tank isnt a tank...There just using the car...And doesnt seem cruel since the fish are all in water and have a wide space. The beer Bottle and the Dance floor one is just cruel alone. But the t.v one is pretty creative since the tank is just shaped like a T.V.
