Strange Question

Ok this is probably a strange or silly(no laughing please) question but here goes, the tank is prepared i.e powerheads and heater in place, do you fill say 1/2-3/4 way and added the salt and measure to get the correct specific gravity and leave as once the live rock is in the water level will rise, or do you do the opposite and fill to the top add salt measure then syphon out after each piece of rock is added.

Wouldn't of thought it matters but personally I have filled the tank will SW prior to adding my LR and will remove what is displaced. My reason for doing this was because I wanted leave the tank to run for a week prior to adding any life at all and observe how much of an issue evaporation will play on my SG reading. It's my first expierence with SW and I would rather discover how stable the SG is without the risk of killing anything.

I did the 3/4 method myself, no troubles
