Strange Plant In My Aquarium

I noticed the other day that a plant has started to grow in my 'un-planted' aquarium. It's growing at quite a rate (from the gravel substrate) and, although unnoticeable three days ago, it now has two leaves and is about 2 inches tall!

I've never had live plants in this aquarium (after failed attempts to keep them in other tanks). My tank has been up and running for well over a year now.

I was wondering how this plant might have got in there and if anybody knows what sort of plant/weed( ) it is likely to be?

i'm unsure to what that plant is. It looks healthy though! Keep us updated!

looks like a cryptocoryne to me?
