my betta has a strange pectoral fin (think that the right word). It has what is best decribed as a sword similar to that of a male swordie but less impressive does any elses betta have something like this?

umm...
I don't have 1 quite like that, but i have one with a tumor under his lower lip, which i don't plan to breed. I finally showed him to a couple of teachers. They concurred about the tumor, but they like him. One of my fellow students seemed quite impressed, and my former childrens' theatre director was glad to meet him and even talked to him when I introduced them to each other.
My other male Betta, Sunspot has a bent pelvic fin, if i got that one right. It reminds me or a praying mantis arm. Frosty looked like he had a mitten shaped pectoral fin, but I think it was just that the pigmented part was mitten shaaped and the rest was clear. Then there was Curt, the red handed guppler. He had a long bright colored pectoral fin for a guppy. Then I could get into my cories. Some of them have fins that remind me of a seal's flippers and Bandit has a thick fleshy club shaped pectoral fin. I don't know why, but it hasn't changed in about a year. I don't know if I just notice odd things easily or if it's because odd things happen if you have a fairly large quantity of critters, or I like the odd ones, or they like me, or what. :look:
