I have some spare stem plants that are not going in my tank at the moment; will they be ok being kept in a bucket of water in till I decide to put them in my tank?

If so should I add a heater to keep the water warm, and/or add a small amount of fertilizer?

I usually put my cuttings in a spare tank with old tank water that I siphon out the main tank and just leave them to it, they seem to do ok so I don't see why that wouldn't work, I guess you could dose small amounts of ferts though :good:

Thanks, I have my spare Stems in a bucket of room temp water at the moment and they will not go in my tank for a while, I dont want them to die so I will just change the plain water for used tank water when I do my water change each week and leave them in the light, hopefully that will be enough to keep them alive.

Should be mate, mine have been fine for a couple of weeks in there while I sort out my other tank, I guess aslong as they have water and light they should be happy?

:good:
