i am 500% sure my tank was cycled previous to putting fish in there. so in adding fish, the ammonia bacteria caught up and are doing just dandy, but those little nitrite bacteria are NOT doing their job. granted, it's gone down quite a bit... but still... it's like at 1ppm (better than 5 yes, but still not good). how much longer of this am i going to have to put up w/ before it decides to finish- again???

Need tank size, and fish just to make sure it's not overstocked.

it's the 75 gallon tank in my signature- it's not overstocked

75 gallon- 1 pleco [Dory], 8 mollies (2 males [Spot and Horney], 6 female[Molly, Loopy Lucy, Nymph and the lil ones]), 6 buenos aires tetras, 6 pristella tetras, 6 zebra danios, 2 blue platies [Ying and Yang], 6 molly fry [Squee, Humphry, Hogart, Beaufort, Nemo and Meeko]

Maybe they were added to fast? best bet is to let the tank be and let it work the problem out itself as its obviously not overstocked by the list you gave.

i think i might have added them a little too quick, but i spent 2 months cycling it... i wanted fish :( lol out of all those fish, i've only had 3 deaths (one that i would assume would be my fault, two were right after i got the fish) but i've had at least 6 fry born (and survive) so i must be doing something right.
