About how many small cory cats and guppies can I put in a 20 gallon tall?

A 20 gallon tall I think has the same footprint as a 10 gallon. So maybe 5 dwarf cories and 8 guppies --- and I think you would still have some breathing room in your tank.

A 20 high has a slightly larger footprint 12"x 24", a 20 extra high has the same footprint as a 10 gallon 10"x 20". I would still stick with the 8 guppys & 5 corys. You will have fry with the guppys eventually, the little extra room will be needed.
