i think i have finally worked out what fish i want in my well planted 240l tank

8 angles
6 hatchet fish
8 corys
6 pitbull pleco
1 bigger pleco
15 ish tetras
2 german blue rams

can any one see any problems. is it under or over stocked? im going for a slight south american theme

i wouldnt go with eight angels, a tank with smaller new worlds in should have 20 gallons (US) for every pair, I would go for a pair of angels and two pairs of rams or vice versa, i personally think you could up the tetras to 30.

It could be risky with tetras and angels - depending which tetras you want as angels can eat them if you have neons/cardinals or similar. But if you get the angels when they are very small it might be OK. Ot LFS has a massive pearly Angel in their heavily planted display tank with about 50 cardinals.

yeah i will go with the bigger tetras.

i will go with 2 pairs of angles then and more tetras

is there any other type of chichild that i could get instead of the hatchet fish. so i would have

4 angles
8 corys
5 pitbull plecos
1 larger pleco
30 tetras (rummynose probably)
2 german blue rams
???? some type of chichild, keyhole ram, something along those lines

ok i think i might have just changed my mind. i wouldnt mind going down the new world cichild route.

i still want angles and blue rams. and i have to have the corys and plecos as i already have them.

i will post a new post in the new world section
