Hi
New here, first post.
I have a bow front jewel tank 90l with built in 3 tier filter an heater, which has been used for FW for some time. Im thinking of switching to basic salt water set up.
Now, after thorough clean of it all would the original filter/ heater be enough to maintain the new salt water.

Iv read that live rock can do alot of the work, so can i ise new substrate with live rock to maintain the levels.

Also would it be possible to transfer water/ rock/ coral fish from another set up into my existing tank

Many thanks

hi curtosa
it would depend on a number of things has the fw tank ever been copper treated? if yes then unless its a fish only system the copper would have leached into the seals and would kill inverts etc eventually (inc live rock)

l if u mean the stock filter that comes with the jewel then no...
sorry will elaborate later (gotta pick kid up from school ) lol
