Starter Coral

So far star polyps are a breeze for me - the look great too :)

they came on the live rock and are spreafing quickly....

I'll let you know if they are actually spreading too quickly :)

my first corals wer a frog spwan, and a kenya tree, and they are growing qucik and doing great, any mushroom is a great starter, no anenomes , but usually there arent too many that arent hard, i know some polyps will die if you dont feed each individual polyp wich can be a realy pain!

True Dat, Sun Corals in particular. I have some, if my photoplanton won't do the job screw them lol. I don't think they look good enough to waste the effort lol.

Good posting crazyelece. I would have to disagree about the suncorals for begineers, or atleast keep away unless your 100% dedicated to their care. Each polyp requires individual feeding, and the waste resulting is often a very heavy purden to place on your nanos.

and be very careful, i did a little more research on what i thought was my kenya tree, and it is in fact just a toxic tree coral, it can be very aggresive, so i am happy my tank is doing good, but make sure you egt the right type of coral, not liek me who got a dangerous or cautionary one...

What are you specs - Lighting etc
