Hi
Anyone have stargrass in a low Tech Tank?
would it be ok
and any tips?

Ive used it in the past and tbh for me it seemed unkillable lol.... it grew like know ones business and needed trimming at least once a week in a 40l tank with just 11w light over it... very little ferts and no added co2.... however if you do add carbon and ferts you will likely have to trim it more often.

Lovely plant though but can over take the tank if not kept in track.... trimming the tops and replanting makes it so much bushier and it looks fantastic

Must admit though i had forgotten all about this plant so i may try it again for myself

Keep it out of the current as it breaks off very easily. If you don't, you will have bits of it cropping up everywhere...unless that's what you want.

Search the name and there is somebody on ebay also selling... from the pics it looks very healthy and it has a best offer option aswell.

But.... you dont usually get better than TGM as Steve as mentioned

Just remember when ordering it's a very delicate plant so might not look perfect but bear with it
