Spotted Pictus Catfish

I have a spotted pictus catfish in a 55 gallon tank. He got caught up in a decoration and when he made his way out he had a bend in the middle of his barb?, if that's what it is, and he has been swimming erratically since. He has calmed down a little but just stays facing the current and did not eat when I fed him. Do these things heal themselves and will he be alright? Not sure if it's really an emergency  but any info would be appreciated.
