Ok so strange things are afoot in my tank
it's a five gallon tank with a couple cherry platys , fake plants, and rainbow gravel
i got the little fishies about 2 and a half weeks ago, and 3 or so days ago out of nowhere a plant took root and began to sprout.
I haven't put anything with seeds in it, just little chunks of shrimp for them to eat.
I didn't even think this kind of gravel was suitable for plantlife
So far the thing just looks like a little sprout, I'll post pics as soon as i get my camera charged.
The only thing i can think of is that it grew from spores that came on the fish.
Is that even possible though?
any ideas or suggestions as to this miraculous birth of a plant?
