Spawn Log 10.17.05

Do you start this when they when you put them in the tank, or once they spawn. Have not posted spawn logs before since I was worried I might jinx them... but since I am at 0-3 maybe I will try to be more optomistic this time.

Fish: Ralph (A) and Greta (3).
Spawning Setup: 15G (24x12x12) with 4" of water, with plants and decor for the female to hide.

Fish are in the tank. Okay fishies, time to do your stuff.

I suppose you conditioned the bettas before you put them into the tank or did you mean their are already fish in their and you put the two bettas in their? Also you start a spawn log once they spawn and you give us pics of the set up and mom and dad.

Mom and dad have been conditioned for three days... will have to take pics afterwards. They have been in there for 24 hours... don't want to bother them for at least 48 hours.

Morris is also in a fish show, so it will prove to be a rather busy week.

I heard you were supposed to condition them for either a week or a month (not sure which) Also you are supposed to put the male in the tank first then after 24 hours put the female in a breeding trap and then wait for him to build a big and strong bubble nest then release her in the well planted tank.

Thats just one way, unless you are a breeder theres no point in tellling others how to do it when there are many perfectly good ways Good luck with the spawn, what sort of results are you expecting?

Male is a royal blue halfmoon plakat from Stingrays, female is an ordinary torquiose plakat from a lfs.

Am expecting torquise, blue and steel blue I guess.

Took the female out tonight... some damage but nothing too serious.

Have eggs... well at least I think I do Just took a quick peek... don't want to spook the fish.

I hope all goes well... After three failed spawns.... anyway. I bought a digicam for my girlfriend. I can borrow it every now and than, but for now show is enjoying it so much, I do want to yet.

Oooh, Daddy's colouring is just lovely And Mummy is so pretty- that sumptuous, metallic sheen over the green makes her look so strong and delicate all at once. Very Mermaid-ish. Your babies are bound to be gorgeous.

There seem to be 100-200 white things on the tank floor under the bubble nest

No sign of movement... I should see something by now

My male is not picking them up and piutting back in the bubble nest.

Fungus?

I have fry... saw them a few hours back. Too entranced to post. They are so tiny. Feeding them now as they have gone horizontal.
