I guess partying bristleworms wern't enough...got another strange thing going on.
History: a couple days ago my semi-crippled young engineer goby showed up with what appeared to be tentacle-shaped sting marks on the blind side of its head, wrapping from the mouth up to and over where the eye would normally be. There was no break in the skin and the marks have already healed. I figured it must be related to the Aiptasia I spotted recently, but I'm starting to wonder if its related to something else. Yesterday I saw something move extreemly fast over to a hole in the LR, followed eventually by the goby. The goby grabbed it out, shook it like a rag doll and ate it. I didn't get a chance to see what it was since the goby gobbled it up so fast. It was probably about 1/2" long whatever it was.
Today, I saw another "something" move extreemly fast between two pieces or LR, again into a hole and followed by the goby. The goby has the hole staked out currently and is striking at it every so often. I have never seen anything move so fast in...it's about 2" and slender like a worm, although it was just a motion blur so I don't know if it had appendages or not. I am pretty certain it was not a mantis shrimp, since it was far too narrow.
Is there anything else that can move that quickly and still be considered edible? Any worms that can swim so fast?
