Hi All

I did manage to set up my 78x22x24 tank. I am glad it is done but it still needs a bit of work. It looks rather empty but believe it or not there are a lot of rocks in that tank already. Not very good pictures as I have a lot of natural light in that room. At least my Fish are happy.
Thanks for everybodys advise.

Those are indeed very happy looking sharks. Good work. Just wait until they're adults... talk about impressive fish!

A few monos and scats will be just the thing. What about a Siamese tiger? The brackish water ones, if you can find them, are very nice community fish with stuff they can't swallow. Another option might be a pike livebearer. The full-grown females are something else.

Cheers,

Neale

WOW lovely shark cats, thanks for inspiring me onto my own brackish aquarium :D

Hi Demonmagus

Thanks for your nice comments. I have kept fish for about 15 years but when I started keeping Brackish about 18 month ago I did not have a clue and I certainly never ever thought I would have such a large tank and I did everything you shouldn't do. I just bought the fish without research because I trusted my LFS. That is why I ended up with two Brackish Tanks as I can't part with any of my fish. It is only because of people on this forum I have learned a lot over a short space of time and I am real greatfull to these people. Don't get me wrong my LFS is very good and knowledgeable but not in the Brackish department.

Thanks Again

Hi Neal

Thanks for the comments. The Cat Sharks look happy but I am getting a bit concerned as they are not eating and they are always greedy. The Mono and GSP has been eating as usual. The problem with the Sharks (and it always has been that way) if you don't drop the food right in front of them they will not go an inch out of there way to get the food. The day I set up the tank I did not feed the fish but it has been three days now.
Another thing I would love to get a Scholl of Monos but I have got one Mono already. Will he attack the new Monos or they attack him ?

Thanks

Sabby

Nope they should be fine, as long as you get the same kind of mono. Monos do tend to show aggression between themselves though so don't worry unless it is particularly violent.

The cats'll settle down. They're pretty nervous as a species, and are easily spooked.

Monos, as rob newland said, can be aggressive. Small specimens should be okay with each other, but once they get about half grown, anything added subsequently tends to get picked on. Quite a few people have ended up with just one big mono.

Cheers,

Neale

Those are some happy sharks! It's great to see a brackish tank so large!
