so I have a unique car, and there is a facebook group for those car owners... I can't say I should have made anyone mad there, as you have to have your posts pre-approved if you are a newer poster... I think they let me post a picture of my car years ago, but I'm almost never on facebook, and for the last several years no one has ever approved my posts... of coarse this makes me dislike face book even more... it's no skin off my nose just curious why, and I don't believe there is any way to find out, in this type of situation... I guess I'll stick to forums, I've been on many over the years, and never witness anything like this???

It seems it's a clique and they want to maintain their exclusivity.
It's spreading to forums as well.
I've quit posting on another fish forum because apparently science and truth is being repressed so that people don't get their little feelings hurt. That's what this world has come to. Be woke and politically correct versus spreading the truth.

I joined a dog forum once and introduced myself. Told the people I had two unsterilised female dogs and I used to walk them at the local dog park every day. It wasn't a one sentence post, it was a couple of paragraphs and there was nothing bad in it. The following day my account was banned for alleged trolling. There was nothing in my thread that even implied trolling or anything. The replies I got were abusive, rude and threatening and none of those people even got suspended, let alone banned for breaching their code of conduct.

Some forums and social media groups are run by people who only accept you if you do it their way. If you don't, then you can fuplie off as far as they are concerned. And they use the real F word not the fuplie version.

As for the car group, they probably didn't want you showing off your car because it was better than theirs. The best you can do when that happens is find another group and see if you are more welcome there.

I'm on some FB fish groups, but they are tight ships generally run by people who know way more than I do. So I do the fly on the wall, and see what I can learn. Most deal with uncommon species, and people tend not to pour their personalities into the discussions. No one cares who you are, but rather, what you bring.
They tend to be quiet, with occasional bursts of discussion.
FB fish groups on general subjects aren't worth checking out. The info is crazy, and useless.

As for car groups - it's probably similar. Maybe your car lacks rust???

and for the last several years no one has ever approved my posts...
I've noticed as well that not on every FB group a post will be approved of for a long time. It seems that not all moderators nor admins are seriously active overthere. Which makes it frustrating. I'm a mod and admin at a number of Fb groups and I genuinly try to stay on top of it.
