My problem is is that I have my 25 gallon fish tank with two Zebra Danios. The tank I belive is cycled, (the test result have been steady for 2 weeks, and it has been cycling for 9 weeks now)

Here's my problem:
EVERYTHING IS COVERED IN GREEN ALGE!!!
The reason why I have not gotton any new fish is becuase I want to make sure everything is rarin' to go.

Here is my question:
Is it safe to do a water change and vacume the fish tank with a siphon, take the ornaments out and clean those in old fish water and such? Will I have to start from square one on my cycle if I do so? I know this sounds silly but, I have been told several different things by my LFS...:( Also if I add water, do I need to just dechlorinate or do I need to adjust the PH in the new water before I add? I know its alot of questions, so I do apologize.

Please let me know soon if possible so I can make it home and take care of this after work :D tytytytytytytytytytytytytytyty!!!!!!

I really want to know though, is it ok to do this cleaning in the tank? Will I disrupt anything? Also can you help me with my question on dechlorination? please :):D:):D

Water changes are usually only part of the water so they actually help your cycle (or at least any fish you have in your tank while your cycling) so they don't hurt the cycle at all. With pH, it really depends if you changed the pH of your water to begin with. Most fish will adapt to pH other than their own.

your tank is still quite new so I don't recommend doing a thorough clean. You would most probably kill off quite a bit of the beneficial bacteria. If you feel that you must clean off all the algae, do it bit by bit, not all at once.
