Snails / Fast Breeding / Cichlid Compatible

What snails are comparable with cichlids? Also some that will breed. I think that they will need to be big snails to stop the cichlids eating them lol. I like snails not just for cleaning.

I don't think Tangs are big snail eaters (I could be wrong though!).

You'd be ok with anything apart from apple/mystery snails, I should think.

I've had these nerites in for a little while now and they are fine.
Why not apple/mystery snails?

They don't like water that's very alkaline.
