these snails were feeding on a water fern, Marselia, in a swift-moving fresh water stream near Superior, Arizona. Do they look like Lymnaea to you.....I'm trying to rear them, and they're feeding fine on Cilantro, getting big and fat but they won't lay eggs. What do I need to do....temp is RT ~20-25C, pH=7.8 I've added calcium, they should lay eggs along the water surface. Must be missing something, what do you recommend?

Thanks...

Found conflicting information online as to whether Assassin snails would or could attack an Apple snail.  There aren't comparable in size, the assassins are only about 10-15mm whilst the apple is over 30mm.  Just wondered if anyone had any experience with keeping the two together.

By the way Assassins seem to be a good way to keep a pest snail population under control.  I got some pests with a plant i bought and now they just provide regular food for the assassins.  I was also over feeding i think which caused the pests to boom, now though i've halved the fish food and the numbers have really dropped.

great forum by the way.

are bladder snails supposed to lay their eggs above the water?
