Do you have any fish in the tank at the moment ? If so, I do find it rather odd that you have no nitrate reading at all ? If you do have fish at the moment (which you'd have to, to have a cycled filter), what are they ?

Ps: you pH is actaully a tad on the low side - well slightly acidic. But absolutely fine :)

its cycled with my friends fish ( mollies)

then when he came back (half a year) i gave them back to him

there are no fish inside my tank at the moment

do you have any reccomendations on green algea eating fish?

somithing small.... ?

No fish means that your tank will un-cycle and within the next day or so (or 24 hours from when the fish were removed) you will start seeing a spike - or almost certainly will encounter a cycle/spike when you introduce your new fish.

I do not know anything about dwarf puffers apart from the fact they cannot be kept with any other fish.
Here is a pinned topic on them.

Cardinals should do very well in the tank - if it's cycled. Shrimp will die with any trace of ammonia or nitrite, so take care. I suggest you look for amano shrimp - about 5 or so will look after your algae very well and not add anything to your bioload. Where as a plecos are heavy waste producers. What do you mean by "sucker fish" ? Just make sure it's not a "CAE" (Chinese Algae Eater) - they are not suitable for 12 gallon tanks and are not community fish.

i agree with that, if you wanted dwarf puffers you'd only be able to keep 2 i think in the tank you have? i think it's 1 puffer for every 5g. you could try a rubbernose/bulldog plec they don't grow to big? cardnials are sensitive and need well set-up tanks.

:good:

hey i didnt know filters could uncycle!?!?
thats way to bad....

what kind of spike should i be expieriencing ?

i added my betta into the tank yesterday
he seems fine so i think ill recycle my tank with him

my new readings are

ph 7.2

ammonia 0

nitrate o

nitrite o

Keep an eye on your ammonia you are going to get a spike sometime. When that happens just do 50% water changes every day or everyother day until you get the ammonia controled.
Cardinals will look great in that tank. If I was you I would get about 10 cardinals, and one albino bristle noise plec. The plec. will grow to about 4-5", so it will stay small enough for your tank.

cool thanks!

yeah im gonaa change my background to a plain one black or blue

can i keep them with my bettta?

....hes really aggresive ...
will he attack them ?

cuz i dont want them to die from sadditional stress
