I purchased a silver flying fox from my Lfs, but they usually do not keep them in stock, and it was the only one left. I have foun very little information on them, mainly only feeding habits and tank size.
I keep him in my tank with a few red eye tetras, and he always seems to follow them at the surface. He is at the bottom very rarely, even though he is listed as a bottom dwelling fish. He is very friendly, and will eat out of your hand. Iām wondering if this behaviour isnāt how they usually act, but instead, it is just following the tetras because they look similar (silver, yellow and red eyes, black dot on the tail). Has anyone owned these before? I could use some information on the species.
