I've had an idea to 'paint' a juwel background with aquarium friendly silicone and then cover it in silver sand - can you have too much silicone in a tank?? I think this'll make a great background but am worried about poisoning the fish

Thanks
Andy

a bit of a silly question.. i think the idea of putting it on the outside is a spot on idea, then ur not risking anything...

I think that once the silicone has completly cured.. there is no risk to the little fishys. Ive seen threads on this board of people creating whole caves out of it. Once the solvents have evaporated I would not be concerned at all over it..

BUT. I would make sure that ALL of the solvents had evaportated out of it. B)
