1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc) ammonia .25, nitrate and nitrite 0, PH 6.8)
2. A full description of the fishes symptoms. One dalmation Molly has gotten very skinny, poop is light colored
3. How often you do water changes and how much. Changed half the water last week
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water. Used PH up this morning when I tested and it was low (the 6,8 reading)
5. What tank mates are in the tank. Danios, platys, gobys, tetras, gurami
6. Tank size. 46 gallon
7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish? 2 bumble bee gobys and two tetras

This molly has gotten skinnier in the last week and is now very skinny. I saw a post that was similar and it sounds like a worm (none visible, no red or swollen anus, no problem is the gills). A dewormer was recommended, but the link was dead so I don't know what to use. So, if this is still the best strategy I have a few questions...

1. Should I treat the whole tank in addition to the hospital tank to protect the other mollys?
2. Can all of the fish get the parasite?
3. How often should I treat?
4. Is there a way to prevent this in the future?

I got some antibiotics at petsmart. It worked good but it made my tank go into a mini cycle. I wish I could remember what it was called. All I can remember is the box was orange and it was tablets that I dropped in the water once a day for 10 days. It worked and my fish survived. I'll check the petsmart website too see if I can find it.

Ok, I found it it's Tetra all in one treatment (red box not orange) Here's a link

Like I said, It worked well for me. I hope it helps.
