Hey all, i recently added some fish to my tank 2 of which died a few days after purchase. They were from Wharf where i never usually have a problem but there were a few dead fish in the tank when i purchased them.
It looks like one had a fungal infection, unfortunatley i was away on business and my wife left the 2 dead fish in the tank for a day till i got home and could remove them. One was covered in fungus.
Anyway, i kept an eye on all the fish and the betta started to get dis-interested in food but still looked healthy.
Roll on to Sunday night and i notice that one pectoral fin of the betta seemed to be clamped and there was a white cottony fungus on it.
Monday morning i get melaflix and primaflix (i think thats there names) one for fungus and one for bacteria. I dont have a sseperate tank so i got a small float in seperator and moved the betta into it.
Its now Wednesday and it is much much worse than before. The other fish are fine its only the betta. It hasnt eaten at alll since Sunday and looks really ill. I was wondering wether it was kinder to put it out of its misery?
