Hi everyone,
I purchased a few amazon sword plants for my 10g tank. At first I did not add food/CO2 manually and left it up to nature to do its thing - well it'll do it all right - in the form of some strange brown rot killing them off. I have O2 in the tank and iron-plant food

i had a bunch of amazon swords in a very low light, like 0.5 watts per gallon, and they grew fine..they are very hardy,,shouldnt be hard to keep amazon alive

Amazon swords are "mostly" grown out of water, they will die off and regrow new leaves, just snip off the rotting leaves as and when you see them.

Yeah I've been trying. I'm down to only a few leaves on my plant. I added some root tabs by API for nutrition and leaf booster. They're still rotting away. I'm at the point where I may have to cut all of the leaves off and start from scratch :(

As i said, just snip them off when they are more than 50% brown. New leaves will eventually come through, it might take months. The old leaves will not recover in any way, they will all die slowly.
