He just seems to eat bits of flake and frozen food that he grabs from the water, apparently i dont need to feed him anything special, but if anyone can suggest anything he might like that would be good! :D

He's in with a BN plec, a bolivian ram, a molly and two female bettas :)

Those are awesome shrimp and that's a lovely big one

Their little fan hands are so cute :)

I shouldn't laugh....

You.... jerk....

THAT, my friend, is the shrimp I strive to find...
The Vampire shrimp :-(

I want....

I've got one of these guys but he just hides all the time. How do get yours to come out like that?

He is awesome by the way

Vampire Shrimp? Hmmm.. he does have creepy eyes and only really comes out at night!

He does hide under the bogwood with the plec until evening but then he comes out and sits under the filter flow until morning - I think thats about all he does though

That's more than mine does

Only seen his hands since he went in. Oh and we thought he'd been eaten when we pulled his legs and tail out, picked up the wood he was hiding under and he was fine - he'd just molted his shell. Pretty awesome though cos it was still solid and totally looked like he'd met an untimely end!

Lucky you, I wish we saw our shrimp as much. Is it when you turn the lights out that you see him?

Vampire shrimps are the coolest-looking of all the freshwater shrimp. They do need a strong flow to filter-feed, they'll perfer that to picking at food with their claws.
