Show Us Your Grandpa’s!

Snails are either cursed or overlooked. They are actually an important part of our aquarium eco system. So here’s to all of our under rated snail friends. This is an opportunity to show off your oldest snails in your tank. Here’s one of my Malaysian trumpet snails. I call him “grandpa”.

I didn’t put any in my ankle that I just really-did with sand. I notice a black spot the other day from anaerobic gas. The other tank with sand has never turned black and is full of MTS. I moved some to the new tank too. They do their job!

I like the way it burrows down and pops back up. A nice little addition

MTS are also a good early warning system. If you ever see them crawling up the tank walls during the day, test the water asap.
