hi, i have 12 fish
2 guppys
2 catfish
6 platties(+2 little babies)
I would like to know would it be ok to buy new fish while the babies are quite small?

depends on what type of fish you are thinking of getting. how big are the fry?
how big is your tank?

Look at the size of the babies, look at the size of the mouths on the new fish.....if the babies are bigger than the new fishies mouths then they wilk be safe

2 Male Guppies
2 Cory Catfish - 1 Albino, one Bronze
6 Platties
the babies were born two days ago one slightly bigger but are around a centimetre approx.
And we dont know what fish to get next have you got any advice??

the platties are a lot bigger than the fry, and even they don't seem interested in eating it; neither do any others.
