Right so i have literally just had a Danio die for no apparent reason in my tank seemed to have a seizure or something similar none of the other fish affected seemingly all water tests well within range
amm 0
nitrite 0
nitrate 20-30 (comes out tap nearly this lol)
Had to move everything to find the poor guy he was stuck to the filter
so what i am wandering is having this happen for seemingly no reason should i just do a big water change just in case there is some kind of poison or something in the water but none of the other fish are showing symptoms what do people think ?

Change or no Change as the fish have already had the stress of me poking around in there today

I do a water change after finding a dead fish, i usually test for nitrite and ammonia beforehand too - like you have.

I think if you have removed the fish witihin a short time of death then i don't think there is too much they can pass on -_-

Someone will now tell me i am wrong and we will both learn something

How long have you had them? Sometimes these things just happen and are beyond our control, especially if you just recently picked them up.

To be honest not sure if he was fairly recent 2 weeks ago i think i put some more in but cant tell whether hes from the new batch or the unfortunate cyclers (didnt really no about fishless cycling)

are they test strips results if so you should have guessed it would have been more accurate
