I hope you have a huge tank!!! Its a Red finned cigar shark (Leptobarbus hoevenii) which will get to half a meter in length (20").They are a peaceful shoaling fish that like to be kept in groups of at least 3.Feeding wise they will eat anything and the bigger they get the more they will eat including any plants and fish that are small enough to fit in their mouth that you have.since this fish likes to sift in the substrate for food it requires a bottom of sand or very fine gravel to prevent damage to its mouth and sensitive barbels.

My advice would be that unless you have a minimum of a 120g tank or plan to upgrade to one this size in the near future (they grow quick) and can get him a couple of buddies then take him back to the shop where you got him from,these are a fish that are really only suited to public display tanks.
