shadow is a she
note the cheeks aren,t bright orange
bright orange cheeks = male
no orange cheeks=female
just thought i say that :D

Actually if Shadow is very young there's no way besides DNA testing to tell if he/she is a male or female. Immature tiels are all more 'drably' colored. Also the "no orange cheeks" part isn't true, females can have orange cheeks (my girl Dawn has bright orange cheeks!). It depends on the coloring. Right now, he/she does appear to be female, but if she's fairly young yet she may develop her adult coloration at her molt and turn out to be a male. She (I'll just say she instead of he/she over and over :p) appears to me to be a whitefaced grey, which neither the male or female would have orange cheek patches. Here is a site with lots of pictures of some different color mutations.

Yep, your right Haiku. My lutino female has bright orange cheek patches ^.^
