I just bought 2 Gold Honey Gouramis yesturday and I told the guy I wanted a pair (male and female).

Well he said the lighter one was female (the only one in the whole tank) and the darker was male.
I had someone come over last night to pick up some guppies and he said they were either both female or vice versa on the sex.

I got the best shots that I can...can you help?

The One on the left is Def Male. I Can just see some Black Markings on his Ventral Fin.

Oh ok. Ty... so the other could be female because the other is lighter?

I think they are both male,

My female is grey,

The Females are really dark, (brownish) or Grey,

Just looking at your picture now, i really can't tell, if its just slightly darker, you may be right, i would just wait it out, feed them well and see if they get breeding colours.

Sorry should have Replied.
With the Golden Dwarf Honey's the Female Is Still Yellow and Should Develop an Black Speckled Line running along her Lateral Line.

Here is one on My Old Females.
the one on the left.
