Sexing dwarf gourami

Hi guys, can anyone help me with the sex of my dwarf gourami ? Thanks in advance

Both of those handsome guys are males and once they feel settled in the aquarium will likely fight. Best keep males to separate tanks.

Females are plain silver, with the exception of female powder blues which tend to be a dull blue (yours is a very nice bright blue) without the red trim to the fins that yours has

This is a female dwarf. If you are in North America, females are extremely hard to find. Any with colour in the store will be males.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping the blue was female as I had read that the males will fight I'm unsure what to do now I only purchased them today.

I would see if you can return one, or opt to get a second tank, minimum size 20 gallons for one

Just fill half with the water from the current tank and some filter media from the main tank to seed a new cycle
