Second Hand Tank

hi ive just bought my second tank its the same as my other 1 a fluval 600 uno it had 7 baby guppies and a red tailed shark in it got it home and it was in a mess alge all over glass so i drained all water out give it a good clean...washed all stones. then set it up again used 25% of water out of my established tank and my filter pads out of other tank de chlorified water from tap all looked good last night woke up this morning and water is slightly cloudy why is this any help welcome thanks darren (from cambridge uk)

Sounds like you're having a bacterial bloom. This happens when there's insufficient beneficial bacteria to support the number of fish in the tank and so the bacteria explodes in population to catch up. Doing 10-20% daily water changes until the bloom subsides should clear it up.

hi no fish in tank at the min so will do water changes for a few weeks ty
