Hi

During my routine inspection of the tank I came across this scratch/chip. It is on the outside of the tank.

The tank is a 180 litre bow front and the chip/scratch is on the side panel really low down.

If I run my finger nail over it I do feel the dip.

Any advice?

I have a difficult-to-see scratch on my tank, not unlike yours. I wouldn't call mine a chip but a light, surface scratch. Not a problem at all in my case and it doesn't "appear" to be in your case either.

You could take some glass polish or plain white toothpaste, preferably a type with baking soda, (not a colored gel type) and rub it out a bit to lessen its appearance.

Thank you that puts my mind at ease. I will give tooth paste a try ( it use to work like a dream for scratches on my car).
