I have a 45 gal. fresh water tank. The tank is 5+ years old.
There are 4 african cichlids, 3 tin foil barbs and 1 fire mouth cichlid. Two of african cichlids are young. The rest of fish are adult. All of the fish get along. I have tried to add catfish and plecos to the tank, but they never last longer than 3-4 months. What can I do to keep the scavengers alive? Is there a species that is hardier than others?
