Saddle back ulcer.

ok, a few weeks ago, i posted about my female gourami. she had a big bruise type thing on her back, it was sort of fleshy and the scales were missing. i thought she had bashed herself on something and that it would heal but it has got much worse now - it is bigger and it is going red.

she is eating fine and seems to be swimming ok.

the only thing in the water is a fin rot and fungus treatment, because a guppy has fin rot.

does anyone know what is wrong with her?

should i seperate her from everything else? none of the other fish have got anything like that...

If you have a spare tank it might be a good idea just in case.Go to your nearest aquatics and tell them the situation and what it looks like and the will be able to help you with treating the gourami,sorry i cant tell you what you need because ive not seen enything like that before+im only 14years old ,but it should be ok your aquatics center will help you.

it looks like a fungus problem, I hope you have better luck than I did!! you should probably put her into the spare tank and buy a heater for it and continue to use the meds.. I hope you have the best of luck!!!

oh, and when your fish had it mike777, how long did they have it for? she has had that for about 3 weeks now... have i left it too late??

the meds are king british - are they ok??

Sorry I don't have any websites I just asked the guy at the lfs for some meds and he gave me some...

My gourami also had it for about 2 or 3 weeks but maybe I just wasn't using the right meds or good meds...

I dunno if king british is okay I live in Michigan and I dont think they sell that stuff across the pond...
