Hi all

New to keeping fish. Week 2 and still getting to grips with it. I have two red crabs and after reading this site for days decided to register. I have a small tank 28L. Already on second shop as first gave dodgy advice. Have added two red crabs to 2 guppies, 4 danios and two bleeding hearts. All seemed fine for last 3 days now one crab been still for hours pearched on rock. After reading articles here, wanted to find out if they need an area out of the water as they do not have this. They do have a large rock with hole but nowhere to get out of water. Any advice would be good.

I'm not a crab expert in any way, but one of my neighbors had some freshwater crabs, he floated a piece of styrofoam in the water, which gave them something to crawl out onto, without disrupting the entire flow of the aquarium.

Just be sure to keep the water level a little bit low, or else they'll crawl out and die.
